Denim is everywhere; everybody owns a pair of jeans! Because it’s such an ingrained part of our wardrobes, there’s a lot of supply, and it seems every brand wants a piece of the action.
But it’s a cut-throat competition where only those who really understand denim wins.
Even though denim was originally a simple, utilitarian workwear fabric, it’s gotten more complex over recent years. Especially if you work with higher end brands that craft their jeans in places you’ve never heard of using techniques that many thought were long gone; you need to know your denim.
Five years ago, Thomas Stege Bojer founded Denimhunters, a Copenhagen-based online denim destination. Thomas’ goal is to turn fashion professionals into product and marketing experts by teaching them how to sell denim with passion.
Most recently, he has written the book Blue Blooded, which was published by the renowned publisher, Gestalten. Blue Blooded is the definitive guide you’ve been looking for that covers everything you need to know about denim and jeans.
Together with Revolver, Thomas hosts a casual, denim-themed “Blue Blooded meet-and-greet” on Wednesday, August 10 starting at 5pm.
Not only will you get to meet Thomas and buy a signed copy of his book, you’ll also get a chance to pick the brains of the denimheads from Livid Jeans, Indigofera, IMjiT35020, Indigo People and Copenhagen’s own denim haven, Brund.
The venue will be Revolver Square, just outside Øksnehallen. The event is open to the public and you don’t need a Revolver ticket to enter. Heineken will supply malty refreshments while Kødbyen’s famous pizza restaurant, Mother, will serve up delicious snacks.
Drop by the Blue Blooded event at Wednesday 10th of August at 5PM at Revolver Square!
