Spotlight On: Cornelia Webb

Gaining international recognition for her innovative take on costume jewellery, the Scandinavian designer Cornelia Webb looks at jewellery not only as a design piece, or design expression but as a way to highlight the landscape of our bodies. Playing with the definition of skin versus metal, organically raw versus polished. Juggling the polarities of primal and refined, pairing futuristic elements with prehistoric energy, Cornelia creates jewellery that seamlessly blends with the wearer.

In response to our growing urban existence, the brand Cornelia Webb established in 2005, emphasizes on craftsmanship, timelessness and environmental consciousness. The founder chooses to reinvent her design rather than constantly produce new collection, striping back and perfecting existing designs. Working organically with nature not against it. Incorporating the essence of the material with her designs that combined with technology means you see unique pieces that look modern with authenticity.

In an ambition to create zero waste, Cornelia Webb works cross industries with Swedish stonemasonries using leftover material, incorporating Swedish granite and green marble to connect with her heritage as well as carving out a new definition of luxury, refining-modern-crafts.

With Cornelia Webb’s background as autodidact, formal student of anatomy, reiki, frequent yoga practitioner and her overall mindful attitude to life, Cornelia creates jewellery that actively encourages the wearer to consider the value and message of the items and materials they wear.
