Revolver announces partnership with Sustainable Brand Platform – SBP
For the upcoming season Revolver Copenhagen Int. Fashion Trade Show joins forces with Milan based Idee Brand Platform and their “Sustainable Brand Platform – SBP” to put a direct focus on sustainability results, efforts and commitments of its exhibiting brands.
Revolver Copenhagen Int. Fashion Trade Show stands out in the Danish scene as a cutting-edge fashion fair, renowned for presenting the most progressive and design-oriented contemporary Scandinavian fashion brands, combined with similar quality brands from all over the world.
In September 2020 Idee Brand Platform developed an online destination, dubbed the “Sustainable Brand Platform”, that uses blockchain technology to offer environmental and ethical ratings for international emerging fashion brands. By means of questionnaires filled in by the brand, the SBP algorithm calculates the scores obtained and provides a final evaluation that expresses the brand’s commitment in terms of sustainability, considering all the spheres that make up this aspect, which is increasingly relevant within the fashion system at all levels. On SBP there is also a section dedicated to suppliers in order to give all brands the opportunity to source suppliers with high attention to sustainability. The mission of the platform is to become the leading sustainability guide consulted by all operators before a buyer approaches a brand and by final customers before making a purchase.

The SBP rating is made on objective and qualitative criteria of a brand’s commitment and results in terms of sustainability. Based on the information provided by each brand, the SBP rating considers everything within the supply chain from sourcing of raw materials, production and distribution to packaging and logistics. Furthermore, the rating system also considers factors such as social responsibility, “give back strategies” as well as charity commitment to make the final rating.

The SBP rating icon will be implemented into Revolver as well as Revolver Digital Showrooms. The collaboration is, as beginning, set for the next two seasons starting from August 2021.
