September this year it is 10 years since the Danish shoe label, SHOE THE BEAR, for the first time launched their collections. Today the brand is sold and showcased in 20 countries through some of the best retailers off- and online and have received several awards for their shoe design.
It all started in a small back alley in Denmark where the two founders Thomas Frederiksen and Jakob Fuglsang drew the first shoes on a piece of paper. Back then it was sneakers with art prints from various upcoming artists. Today the collections consist of more than 300 different shoes for men and women who are looking for a bit more than just a pair of black shoes or ankle boots. One thing remains though and that is the love for the product.
At SHOE THE BEAR every shoe starts as a hand drawing by one of the designers and is then sampled, tested, fitted and tested again and again before the final product ends up on the shelves in one of the 800 retailers world-wide who sells the collections.
